Budtender of the Month: Celebrating Michelle Beaulieu of Take Off Cannabis
March 10, 2026
CannSell is proud to spotlight Michelle Beaulieu of Take Off Cannabis as our newest Budtender of the Month!
From budtender to assistant manager, Michelle knows what’s up! Trust her when she tells you that, when it comes to cannabis, everybody and every BODY is different. What works for you may not work for everybody else. Let’s learn a little more about what lights Michelle’s fire, her passions, and visions for the future.
Why are you passionate about your role?
I’m passionate about being an assistant manager because this industry isn’t just about sales. It’s about education, experience, and building trust with your guests. Being responsible for how people manage their everyday lives using cannabis is something I take great pride in. I love to educate people on the different cannabinoids and how they can be beneficial for different aspects of life. This industry is forever changing and growing, and I can’t wait to grow with it!
What is one thing you wish all customers knew?
Everybody and every BODY is different. Cannabis will not affect everybody in the exact same way. What works for you, may not work for everybody else.
What is your number one tip for your colleagues on how to excel in their roles?
Listen to your co-workers; they may be more educated in a certain category than you are, and you can learn a lot by simply listening to their interactions with customers. I learned a lot myself that way.
If you could have any other role in the industry, what would it be and why?
This may sound strange but I’d love to be a category manager/ buyer at a higher level. I love to curate menus, browse new products, and read consumer reviews. I think MOST cannabis stores don’t really gear their menu towards what customers want, but rather what they want customers to buy. As a consumer myself, I always want to try new strains, and if a store just stocks the same stuff, I will begin shopping elsewhere.
What are you excited about for the future of cannabis in Canada? What do you envision?
For the future of cannabis, I envision it to be just like how alcohol is viewed and handled today. No purchase limits, increased strength of edibles, allow advertising and open lounges where people can come together and smoke, just like they would drink!
